She was with a friend and on her way home. But Luise F.* (†12) did not get there. The girl from Freudenberg, Germany, disappeared on Saturday night and was reported missing. Then on Sunday the sad certainty: Luise F. is no longer alive. Her body was found in a wooded area. It is clear to the detectives: the twelve-year-old has died.
Two minors are currently suspected. According to information from “Bild”, it should be two girls aged 12 and 13. In addition, an object was found at the crime scene that may be associated with a suspect.
There is no evidence of a sexual offense. The authorities are currently not providing any further information about the crime, the perpetrator and the background. Apparently, an autopsy of the body took place on Monday, the result of which should be announced on Tuesday, according to a spokesperson for the Koblenz police station.
Who did Luise F. meet on the way home?
It is not yet clear what happened on the way home. Only so much is known: Luise F. visited a friend on Saturday night. Around 5:30 p.m., she started walking home. Since she did not arrive there, the parents alerted the police, who launched a search.
At around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday morning, the body of the 12-year-old was found in a wooded area on a dike near the former train station of Wildenburg. Only: Wildenburg and this piece of forest are not on Luise F.’s way home, but in the opposite direction.
The municipality of Wildenburg is part of Rhineland-Palatinate, but is right on the border with North Rhine-Westphalia, where both Luise F.’s childhood home and the house of her visiting friend are located.
She couldn’t get help
According to “RTL”, there is no mobile phone reception in this remote wooded area. If the girl had wanted to get help, the cell phone wouldn’t have succeeded.
“We are not yet sure whether the location is also the crime scene,” a spokesperson for the Koblenz public prosecutor’s office told RTL on Monday. It is also unclear whether a former railway tunnel near the location plays a role. (mel)
