From tomorrow, the German drivers will go on strike – trains from Switzerland will also be affected. The consequences of the pandemic have been definitively overcome: Zurich Airport has returned to pre-crisis levels

Cross-border trains between Switzerland and Germany are also affected by the strike announced by the German Train Drivers’ Union (GDL) for the period from Wednesday evening to Thursday. The SBB announced this on Tuesday evening via X (formerly Twitter).

Tickets already purchased remain valid for a later date, the message said. The train connection has been discontinued. Travelers would also have the option to bring forward their journey thanks to a special concession from Deutsche Bahn. In this context, the SBB recommended leaving early enough to reach your destination safely before the strike started at 10 p.m. on Wednesday. (sda)
