Page also co-wrote the screenplay with British director Dominic Savage (“I Am Ruth”), the Hollywood Reporter reported Monday (local time). Savage describes the project in a statement as a “unique film about love, identity and family”.
The story revolves around Sam (Page) traveling home to a family reunion, bumping into an old friend (Hillary Baack) and confronted with long-suppressed memories.
Page announced that his trans will be released on social media in 2020. The Canadian describes his life in the recently published autobiography «Pageboy». The actor, then Ellen Page, rose to fame with the drama comedy “Juno” (2007) in the role of an unintentionally pregnant schoolgirl.
The film earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. This was followed by roles in such films as “Inception”, “To Rome with Love” or “X-Men: future is past”. Most recently, he starred in the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy. (sda/dpa)
