The Arizona Coyotes have been in a bit of a slump in the NHL lately. Janis Moser’s team suffered fourteen straight losses, and in February the desert team went winless and fell to fourth to last place in the Western Conference.
Against the Ottawa Senators, the second-worst team in the Eastern Conference, the Coyotes can celebrate another sense of success on Saturday night. They won 5-3 thanks to two goals in the final third, having conceded a 3-0 lead up to that point.
Janis Moser made it 2-0 in the 13th minute with a shot from the blue line. It is the defender’s fourth goal of the season. When Matias Maccelli secured the victory in the 59th minute, the Seelander also provided his 20th assist of the season.
Meier fills the dozen
Meanwhile, the emotional rollercoaster ride for the New Jersey Devils continues, alternating between victory and defeat.
