French actor Samuel Theis (45), who starred in the popular movie “Anatomy of a Case”, is suspected of rape. In a statement to the AFP news agency, the Metz prosecutor’s office confirmed that the judiciary had launched a preliminary investigation against Samuel Theis. The 45-year-old actor and film producer stated that he had consensual oral sex with the 27-year-old technician plaintiff.
He also called on people to respect the presumption of innocence. His lawyer, Marie Dosé, condemned the spread of “bad and false information”.
According to Télérama magazine, the controversial sexual encounter took place last June, the morning after a party in Metz, following several weeks of joint filming directed by Theis.

The plaintiff later said he was under the impression he had been drugged. He stopped filming and filed a lawsuit in late July, which led to a preliminary investigation. Theis has not yet been heard by the judiciary.
The production company obliged the director to drastically reduce contact with the crew until shooting was completed. He had to change hotels and was no longer allowed to eat in the canteen. He talked to the actors over the radio during filming.
In the French legal drama “Anatomy of a Case,” Theis plays the husband of a German writer living in the French Alps. When he is found dead in the snow one day, his wife, played by Sandra Hülser, becomes the prime suspect.
