According to Thursday’s statement, it amounted to 204 million francs, an increase of 15 percent compared to 2022. However, the company is still far from its pre-pandemic sales level. Globetrotter reported annual sales of 242 million francs for 2019.

The travel company, which has operated a total of 14 companies since then, had to reduce its workforce by 100 employees to approximately 350 people and close four branches due to the Corona crisis.

Chairman of the Board of Directors André Lüthi said in an interview with the AWP news agency, “It is pleasing that we are on land again.” In 2022, the group reached balance. Lüthi did not provide any information about the amount of the winnings.

Globetrotter writes that, looking at current travel trends, the number of trips per year and per person tends to decrease, but trips are becoming longer and more expensive: “The demand for active trips, cultural trips and personalized individual trips has increased again compared to before Corona.” The message continued.

Globetrotter Group also has cautious optimism for 2024. Rising prices in various areas of life are likely to reduce demand. “It would be good if we reach the figures for 2023,” Lüthi said. (SDA)
