Netflix may also be different than just “ending”: two hit series are renewed – one even immediately with 2 seasons!

For “Ginny & Georgia” fans, it’s back to Wellsbury – and not once, but twice. Netflix has officially given the green light to seasons 3 and 4 of the turbulent mother-daughter crime comedy. So anyone who likes to watch Georgia (Brianne Howey) and her daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry) manage not only their love chaos, but also one murder or the other, can now breathe a sigh of relief and not worry about being laid off for two years of care.

‘Ginny & Georgia’ may not be the big hit for Netflix now like ‘Bridgerton“, but successful enough for the streaming service to confidently launch two more seasons. There’s also a lot to talk about – especially after the season 2 cliffhanger ending, which saw Georgia arrested. So fans might be curious to see how the smart mom maneuvers herself out of this situation.

The “Ginny & Georgia” star greets her fans

Incidentally, the stars of “Ginny & Georgia” announced the double extension themselves in a video on Twitter. Starting in Season 3, Sarah Glinski will take over as showrunner from Debra J. Fisher. However, there are no more details at the moment – for example, the start dates of the new seasons are not yet known.

And another series was also renewed by Netflix, but only for one season: The romantic long-running hit”virgin river‘ is getting a sixth season. Here too, Netflix shows confidence in the series, because season 5 has not even started yet and will only be available in the fall of 2023. Fans can tune in with the peace of mind knowing that the story of Melinda (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson) will continue beyond that.

Series tip for waiting for ‘Virgin River’

However, if you don’t want to wait until fall for some feel-good entertainment on Netflix, check out the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before spin-off XO, Kitty now. The 10-episode RomCom series, this time starring Lara Jean’s younger sister Kitty (Anna Cathcart), is available on Netflix in its entirety on May 18, 2023.
