This weather – the so-called March winter – is an integral part of the Swiss climate in the plains on the northern side of the Alps. From this perspective, it’s early spring when the hazel bushes and snowdrops bloom. Astronomically, spring begins at exactly 16:33 on March 20 with the 2023 equinox in the northern hemisphere.
