So there are no big surprises. Fans of the superhero cosmos should still be happy that a final decision has finally been made and announced. After all, the film is due to be released in cinemas next year – and of course filming will only start once the actors have been found.

Contrary to previous information, the film will not be released in cinemas in April next year, but in July 2025. The new start date in the US is July 25, 2025. In Germany, where new films usually premiere on Thursdays, that will likely be on July 24 next year. The film takes over the previous slot of Marvel’s “Thunderbolts”, which now starts in early May.

After making his Stranger Things debut in the Netflix hit’s fourth season as Eddie Munson, is becoming Joseph Quinn playing the Human Torch Johnny Storm. And some of you may also know the last of the bunch: Ebon Moss-Bachrach becomes Ben Grimm / The Thing, after recently making a name for himself with his performances in series hits such as ‘Andor’ and ‘The Bear’.

The choice fell precisely on the ensemble that was already in the room. It remains to be seen who we will have in the role of Dr. Fate can count. Director Matt Shakman (“WandaVision,” “Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters”) will direct the production.
