The sixth season of ‘The Crown’ will mainly focus on the end of the marriage between Prince Charles (now king in real life) and Lady Diana Spencer. However, another event will overshadow everything, just like in the real life of the royal family. Diana (played by Elizabeth Debicki) will die in a tragic accident that is still speculated to this day. Netflix has already revealed that her death will be the central theme of the series and has repeatedly promised to handle the tragedy sensitively.

Via X (formerly Twitter), Netflix teased, that the wedding of Prince Charles and his longtime companion Camilla Parker-Bowles, which took place on April 9, 2005, will be a theme in the sixth season of The Crown.

In the posted photo we see a small booklet from the service at Windsor Castle on the wedding day announcing the marriage of the two. However, no further details or photos will be revealed of the couple, who will be played by Dominic West and Olivia Williams, as they did in Season 5. However, it is common knowledge that the 2005 event caused quite a stir. After all, this second marriage of the then heir to the throne was quite controversial.

When does the plot of “The Crown” end?

It is also not clear whether ‘The Crown’ ends in 2005, when Charles marries for the second time. However, it is certain that the relationship of Charles’ son, Prince William, with Kate Middleton must also be discussed; the two roles are already fulfilled.
