The five-time Grammy Award winner is suffering from a terminal illness. Last year, Celine was diagnosed with muscle stiffness syndrome, which causes the singer’s body to turn into a “living statue” at times. Patients with this diagnosis may lose the ability to speak and walk.

The 55-year-old pop star canceled her world concert tour due to health problems. Dion is at home in Las Vegas under the care of doctors, a sports therapist, sister Linda and her husband. Celine’s condition was told by her older sister Claudette. According to her, the artist is determined to succeed in the fight against the disease. “She’s doing everything she can to get better.” She’s a strong woman,” Dion Sr. explained.

The My Heart Will Go On singer has to endure bouts of pain that are almost impossible to cope with. “We know so little about this disease. Convulsions appear – they cannot be controlled. You know how people get up at night because of leg or calf cramps. A bit like this, only in all the muscles. There is little we can do to support her, to ease the pain… We are crossing our fingers that scientists will find a cure for this terrible disease,” Claudette was quoted by People, referring to her interview.

The artist’s sister suggested that the cause of Celine’s illness was a busy work schedule. According to Claudette, the performer is always tense due to the desire to be the best, which caused a failure in the body.

Before taking a break from her career, Celine put her mother’s mansion up for sale. The artist planned to get 150 million rubles for it.
