The Panama International Marathon will be held on November 26 on the route Cinta Costera-Amador-Panama Viejo, and about 2,000 runners are expected, Gregorio Beby Miró, president of the Club Corredores del Istmo, the organizer of the traditional sports event, announced yesterday.

Miró indicated that the prize for the absolute winner will be 2,500 dollars, while for the one who reaches the finish line first in 21 kilometers, the prize will be 1,200 dollars.

The novelty this year is that in addition to the 42, 21 and relay races, a 5-kilometer course will also be included.

“The goal is for everyone to participate and run on the route of the Panama International Marathon, which every year we strive to make more attractive and safer for all athletes,” said Miró.

Registration will be available starting tomorrow, Friday, and will cost $70 for 42 kilometers, $60 for 21 kilometers and $35 for 5 kilometers.

For his part, Fumio Tanaka, President and General Manager of Seiko Panama, assured that it is a pleasure to once again sponsor this important event that brings together runners from different parts of the world. “We are going to Panama for more”.
