Do you think I’m digging into the loans we make with the IDB, the World Bank, or the capital markets when we issue bonds? Do you know what’s involved in issuing bonds? bond, do you know the process, what it means, all the information we carry and all the questions asked by all the banks that will participate in the show?”asked Alexander Santoa.
“You were a little reckless and I tell you that honestly. I didn’t expect something like that,” he added.
“When I left the government under President Martín Torri, the minister who replaced me – Alberto Vallarino – praised the quality of the public finances that remained. He spoke of miracles about what he was getting, and I cannot say the same about what I got”answered the Panamanian head of economy and finance.
Aleksandar repeated that he came to work, not to talk about what he got or didn’t get from the administration that preceded him.
“If we receive a commission, that fulfills me shame hear that. I don’t know if you know people who received them in other governments,” Alexander said directly to Santo.
“Do you know what you are saying? That when I go to the capital market, we are looking for ourselves. You have no idea what you are saying,” he repeated.
Aleksandar clarified that he believes in political parties and diversity of opinion, but he clarified that everyone has a space where they can shine regardless of their position.
