Most of the time, the costumes become the property of the studio after the filming is over, except for exceptions, for example borrowed costumes are of course returned. Actors can also keep the outfit if they have made such an agreement. But studios are particularly wary of vintage clothing and historical costumes, which are quite expensive and labor-intensive to produce – no wonder they’re often reused in film production.
