Ford follows Tesla and makes the car thousands of euros cheaper

After Tesla, Ford is now making cars significantly cheaper. It’s not about a discount of a few hundred euros, but a fixed price reduction of thousands of euros.

Tesla previously reduced the prices of the Model S and X. The S costs 5 grand less in the US. The X is 10 grand cheaper.

Like Tesla, Ford is cutting the price significantly

The Ford Mustang Mach-E costs less than the Model S and X, but still falls significantly in price. The Ford now costs 53,900 euros, which is a minus of more than 4,000 euros. For this money you get a 75 kWh battery pack, with which you can drive 440 kilometers according to WLTP. This version has an electric motor on the rear axle that produces 269 hp and offers features such as adaptive cruise control, park assist, heated seats and more. The same version with all-wheel drive is available from just under 66 mille, which is 3,000 euros cheaper than before.

We see the biggest price drop in the extended range variant with the 98 kWh battery pack and a 294 hp electric motor on the rear axle. This version has become 7,000 euros cheaper with a price tag of 59,400 euros.

Rightfully a Mustang?

The most powerful versions have also become cheaper. The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT is now priced at €79,200, which is €4,800 less than what you originally paid. A practical test by Autovisie has already shown that you don’t need the 487 hp version to have fun.
