A multi-storey apartment building in Rome was set on fire on Friday. A man died in the process. According to media reports, several people were injured and taken to hospital with burns and breathing difficulties.
According to the fire service, the fire broke out in the building in the Colli Aniene district in the northeast of the Italian capital in the afternoon.
The building was undergoing renovations, according to the fire service. The flames had already engulfed seven of the house’s eight floors. The fire would have broken out on the jetty.
