She will not be available as a senator in the coming legislature, the Bremen senator for environment and mobility said in Bremen on Monday.

The Greens fell from 17.4 percent in the 2019 state election to 11.7 percent on Sunday in Bremen, their worst result in Bremen for 20 years. They rule in a red-green-red coalition with the SPD and the Left Party.

Mayor Andreas Bovenschulte (SPD) has not yet decided whether he wants to continue the coalition. A grand coalition with the Christian Democrats is also possible in Bremen.
