France’s main trade union, the moderate CFDT, announced it was accepting the invitation French Prime Minister Elisabeth Bornewho sent a letter to five trade union organizations to meet with them individually between May 16 and 17 in the context of the unpopular pension law.
Another union with supporters, the CGT, has not yet responded to this call.

Unlike that meeting on the 5th, the Prime Minister plans to meet with each union individually.
Borneo’s idea in any case, is to turn the page on pensions and talk about other workers’ problems, such as wages at a time of high inflation.
The unions, however, are still demanding the withdrawal of the controversial law, which will, in principle, come into force next September.
In fact, labor organizations have called their own trade union protest for June 6.
