In the podcast with Markus Lanz, German philosopher Richard David Precht made disparaging remarks about Annalena Baerbock. The context of the story: Barbock’s attitude towards China.
So the philosopher does not leave a good hair with the foreign minister of the Greens. He suspects that “under normal circumstances” she wouldn’t even have gotten an internship at the Foreign Office.
During her visit to China, Baerbock criticized the government there for not condemning China’s war of aggression and therefore “supporting Russian President Vladimir Putin despite his war of aggression in Ukraine”.
After the trip, Baerbock complained that China was increasingly becoming a “systematic rival” to the West. Precht does not understand this: unlike Christian countries (such as Germany), China would not proselytize with their values.
He accused the secretary of state of “painting on the wall, so to speak, an escalation scenario” and running a values-based foreign policy that is really a foreign policy based on confrontation. In addition, according to Percht, there would be a major confrontation with China for the German economy.
Meanwhile, opinions on Twitter are divided. The Percht camp agrees. He is the only one who dares to speak to the elephant in the room – that Baerbock is a miserable Secretary of State.

Of course, Percht also receives massive criticism – his statements are seen as sexist.
The attacks of #Precht in the direction #Baerbock also shows: He is a vain man who seeks attention and apparently cannot bear that a strong woman with a clear profile is the German Foreign Minister. @Ministry of Foreign Affairs @ABaerbock

What an accident that RD #Precht pretended to be the country’s misogynist and told us how #Foreign policy must be. Under normal circumstances, such a person would not even have done an internship at the editorial office of philosophy magazine.😉 https://t.co/GlfqA4qyuK

It is not the first time that Precht publicly criticizes and is subsequently criticized himself:
