SpaceX Starship – Countdown canceled just 40 seconds before launch

Today, the Starship of Elon Musk’s private aerospace company SpaceX would have taken off for the first time. But minutes before the scheduled launch, it was announced that the rocket would remain grounded. Elon Musk has called off the launch due to pressure issues.

On Monday, the private aerospace company SpaceX is said to have tested the most powerful rocket yet built for SpaceX’s Starbase in Texas. But the rocket won’t launch today, SpaceX reported shortly before its scheduled launch.

A problem was discovered with the pressure equalization in the rocket’s first stage. SpaceX founder Elon Musk wrote on Twitter that a valve had frozen. That is not unusual, because filling a rocket with fuel is a tricky business. Now it is time to solve the printing problem and find out what exactly went wrong. It will take at least 48 hours for the rocket to be ready for launch again, the company said.

Elon Musk expects a 1:2 risk of falling for this. The SpaceX founder writes in advance on Twitter that excitement is guaranteed.

Starship consists of a 50 meter long space shuttle and the 70 meter high Super Heavy rocket. With Starship, astronauts should fly to the moon in the future, and further journeys should also be possible.
