Seven people died in the horror accident in Thuringia on Saturday.

Burnt-out cars, rubble everywhere: The B247 in Bad Langensalza in the German state of Thuringia turned into a place of tragedy on Saturday afternoon. The horror accident killed seven people. Investigators do not know who is responsible for the tragedy.

It is still unclear who was driving the black BMW that collided head-on with oncoming traffic. First it hit a Mercedes in which five young men and women aged 19 were sitting. Among them was the daughter of a police officer, her mother herself was on duty on the day of the accident. The car was then thrown into a VW Caddy. The cars caught fire. Seven people died in the horror accident.

The unemployed would have drunk a lot of alcohol

The men in the BMW, aged 45 and 34, survived with serious injuries. Both were drunk in the car and did not have a driver’s license. The 45-year-old lost the ticket in 2007.

Already in May 2005 he caused a terrible accident on the B247. Already in a BMW then, already drunk then. At that time, he was seriously injured and almost died, as reported by “Bild”. His neighbors would have often found the unemployed BMW fan drunk in the stairwell lately. He would have drunk a lot of alcohol.

According to an eyewitness, he was already partying loudly with acquaintances on the day of the accident in the afternoon. It is still unclear whether his later fellow prisoner was there.

Police are investigating suspected murder in seven cases

If the police attacked the 45-year-old first, the 34-year-old was also suspected in the course of the investigation. The investigators reached the new findings based on testimonials from first responders at the scene of the accident and further trace evaluations.

The 34-year-old is also said to have fueled up well before driving. And he doesn’t have a driver’s license either. According to the “Ostthüringer Zeitung”, the man would have drunk liquor in the parking lot of a supermarket a few kilometers from the scene of the accident and then drove away.

Police are investigating suspected murders in seven cases. Rijksweg 247 reopened on Sunday. However, the speed limit there has now been reduced to 70 or 50 kilometers per hour. (jmh)
