The chewing gum trial between Bushido and Arafat Abou-Chaker enters the next round. The hearing scheduled for Monday had to be postponed again because a witness had reported sick, of all rap star Shindy.

The morning before the trial began, Shindy’s attorney called the court and said the rapper “felt unable to appear as a witness in court today.” The 34-year-old had previously been fined for remaining silent as a witness in the trial.

Judge Martin Mrosk had to postpone the trial again after Shindy called in sick. It was already day 94 of the mammoth trial. The musician, whose real name is Michael Schindler, is questioned about the secretly recorded audio file.

After all: some 14 months after the appearance of a sound document in the trial between Arafat Abou-Chaker and rapper Bushido, there is now a verdict on its authenticity. Now only the expert has to testify in court – according to the judge, an appointment is possible at the end of April.

The controversial audio document did not appear until early 2022. It is said to have been secretly made during a meeting between Bushido and his ex-manager Arafat on the day the prosecutor calls the day of the crime. Abou-Chaker is accused by the public prosecutor of, among other things, deprivation of liberty, attempted extortion, coercion, dangerous bodily harm, insult and infidelity.
