The case of the murdered Luise from Freudenberg still shocks all of Germany. A similar incident of psychological and physical violence has now become known: in Heide (Dithmarschen district) in Schleswig-Holstein, a 13-year-old was tortured by a group of people her own age. This reports “shz.de”, citing a video that should show the crime.
According to the report, a group of several teens beat and assaulted the crying girl as she breathed in panic and begged to be left alone, the report said. Someone from the group is said to have thrown cigarette ash on the head of the 13-year-old while sitting on the floor and Coke was said to have been poured over her head.
As the girl tries to get up, one of her tormentors yells at her: “Sit down while you beg me. I won’t let you go so easily», continues the report. She also takes beatings as she is berated, threatened and spat on. When the 13-year-old puts her hands in front of her face and asks to spare her nose, one of the attackers hits her on the spot.
The video shows just a five-minute clip of the ordeal, which lasted several hours, the girl’s mother tells the newspaper. The group also stubbed out a cigarette on their daughter’s cheek and set her hair on fire. “I found the charred headband later.”
Only a passerby could stop the attack. “He recognized the danger my daughter was in and took her with him when she asked for help. We are very grateful to him,” says the mother. The 13-year-old is still in a day clinic.
The police confirmed to t-online the incident that took place on February 21 between Güterstrasse and Bahnhofsgang in Heide. The girl was “talked to, pushed and humiliated” on her way to school, said a spokeswoman. Part of the group, which consisted of girls and boys aged 13 and 16, filmed the event.
Six suspects have now been identified, all girls. They are charged with collectively dangerous bodily harm – there is also a charge of theft, as a coat and the 13-year-old’s mobile phone were stolen. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing and not everyone involved has been heard.
