AND Spanish teacher died this Wednesday after he stabbed by a 16-year-old student at the Santo Tomás de Aquino Institute in San Juan de Luz, the prosecutor’s office in Bayonne reported. The student was detained and questioned by the police.
The deadly attack happened shortly before 10:00 am. Student attacked the teacher in the middle of class with a knife for unknown reasons. The 50-year-old teacher received a stab wound near the sternum and died soon after due to the severity of the injury. For now, the nationality of the victim, who apparently worked for a long time at this private Catholic high school, is unknown.

According to the television channel BFMTV, the teenager, who would have psychiatric problems, would say after the attack that he heard voices and that he felt “possessed”.
French government spokesman Olivier Verán showed his “support” to the education community in these difficult times at a press conference. “Immeasurable emotions after the death of a teacher at Saint-Thomas-d’Aquin high school. My thoughts to his family, his colleagues and students,” Education Minister Pap Ndiaye wrote on Twitter, announcing he would travel to the town near the Spanish border to accompany the teachers and students.
