The Iranian government will send a team of experts to the city of Isfahan to investigate the attacks on a military facility. A defense ministry munitions factory near the metropolis of Isfahan in central Iran was attacked by several small planes on Sunday night, according to a report by the state news agency IRNA. Iran’s defense ministry said it was a military strike. Three of the planes were destroyed by Iranian air defenses. No one was injured in the attack.
Foreign Minister Hussein Amirabdollahian described the attacks as both cowardly and ridiculous. Such attacks have not undermined the country’s military or nuclear performance, Iran’s top diplomat said, according to the Tasnim news agency.
