Surprising find in Hadres, a municipality in Lower Austria. In a so-called press house with an attached wine cellar, the authorities found a 54-year-old Reichsburger together with his wife and children, the Kronenzeitung reports.
Two community representatives filed protests because neighbors had complained. When the father of the family was discovered, he defended himself with pepper spray and wounded the two men. So they called the police.
The public prosecutor’s office in Korneuburg then ordered a search of the wine cellar and found the man’s 40-year-old partner and six children there. These were seven months, two, three, four and five years old, the police had initially reported five children.
“Certainly not suitable for children”
The children would be the couple’s offspring, as announced. They were born in England, they would not be registered in Austria. The children were not neglected, said deputy mayor Erich Greil (ÖVP), as the identity could not be clarified, they were temporarily placed with social work.
Greil emphasized that he saw the children walking two weeks ago and said hello. The accommodation in the press house is “certainly not suitable for children”.
The 54-year-old father has been provisionally arrested and is being reported on suspicion of resistance to state authority. (first)
