As part of their investigation into the family of US President Joe Biden, the US Republicans now want information about his son Hunter’s art stores. He exhibited his paintings in Georges Bergès’ gallery in New York and sold them there.
Republican chairman of the Key Committee on Oversight and Reform, James Comer, wrote in a letter released Wednesday to New York gallery owner Georges Bergès demanding information about the anonymous buyers of Hunter Biden artwork he exhibits. Because although this is an inexperienced artist, he received exorbitant amounts for the sale of his works of art.
Bergè’s deal with Hunter Biden raises the question of whether the Biden family is “selling” access and influence “again”.

Bergès promoted Hunter Biden’s latest artwork Price between $55,000 and $225,000 have, wrote Comer. It is concerning that President Biden’s son is the recipient of anonymous, high-value transactions without any accountability. “The identities of the buyers remain unknown and you seem to be the only one who knows about these lucrative transactions”. Comer added on Twitter, “Why would anyone pay Hunter Biden so many dollars for a piece of art that is supposedly worthless? He’s not Pablo Picasso.”
Hunter Biden had his first exhibition at Georges Bergès Gallery in New York in November 2021. The “New York Times” wrote at the time that it was definitely more than an amateur’s work. But the exhibition of Biden’s abstract art should not make anyone green with envy.
In the runaway 2020 election campaign, the son of then-presidential candidate Joe Biden had become a fixture in then-President Donald Trump’s camp. Hunter’s lucrative post on the board of directors of Ukrainian gas company Burisma — while his father was a deputy under President Barack Obama — left Biden in need of an explanation. Trump had also repeatedly alluded to Hunter’s drug addiction.
Comer went on to say that his committee is investigating “the machinations” of President Biden and his family at home and abroad. For more than a decade, the Biden family has benefited from Joe Biden’s positions.
