Several injured after Asake concert in London White American police officer convicted of manslaughter of black woman

Several people were injured in a crowd at a concert in London on Thursday evening.

Eight people have been taken to hospital by ambulance, police said, four of them in critical condition. Two other injured people were treated at the scene.

According to Scotland Yard, a large number of people had tried to gain access to the concert hall O2 Academy in the Brixton area force. According to a BBC report, the incident happened during a concert by the Nigerian singer Asake. The concert was cancelled.

It was the musician’s third sold-out performance in the concert hall.

The police announce an investigation into the course of the incident. However, no arrests have been made so far. Internet users were asked not to share videos in social content that could be upsetting to those affected. (sda/dpa)
