His last album release was not so long ago, now he’s already following it: Canadian rapper Drake dropped an album on November 4 together with Brit 21 Savage.
“Her Loss” – which can be loosely translated as “your bad luck” – is the name of the new album. It features 16 songs, 10 by Drake and 21 by Savage together, 4 by Drake alone and for the track “Pussy & Millions” the duo brought on board American rapper Travis Scott.
After his latest album “Honestly, Nevermind” surprised fans with a stronger EDM influence, “Her Loss” Drake is back with rap that sounds unmistakably his. Apparently large parts of the Twitter community are happy about this too:
Oh Drake rapping rapping

“Oh, so Drake is rapping again.”

All I have to say is this… Drake & 21 Savage ALBUM OF THE YEAR.

“All I have to say is this… Drake & 21 Savage, ALBUM OF THE YEAR.”
Not everyone is excited
And as so often in hip-hop, there is also a lot of dissertation. Drake and 21 Savage are attacking multiple people and brands along with their new album: Kanye West, Adidas and Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian. The two rappers, on the other hand, are criticized because many experience the lyrics as unfriendly to women.
It’s bizarre how Drake had a whole collab with Future and he wasn’t even half as misogynistic as he is rn

First Kendrick sings “Godspeed for women’s rights” while working with a rapist, and now this Drake man is talking about Roe vs. Wade as he uses a woman’s abuse as a punch line.
Need the rap niggas to stick to rap about drugs, guns and sex and stop this performative bullshit.

“First, Kendrick sings ‘Godspeed for women’s rights’ while working with a rapist. And now this Drake man is talking about Roe vs. Wade while his punch line is about a woman being abused. These rappers need to keep rapping about drugs, guns and sex and quit this performative shit.”
Some fans also interpret the following lines from the song “Circo Loco” as a diss to the musician Megan Thee Stallion:
She doesn’t even get the joke, but she’s still laughing.
Shorty says she graduated, she didn’t learn enough
Play your album, number one, ‘kay, I’ve heard enough.’
Megan Thee Stallion graduated last year and is now embroiled in a lawsuit. The point is that rapper Tory Lanez allegedly shot the musician in the foot with a gun and yelled “Dance, bitch.” In his song, some fans suspect, Drake refers to Megan and claims she lied about her claim.
Switzerland is also represented
And by the way, there is also a Swiss involved in the new album. Music producer OZ produced the beats for the songs “On BS”, “Treacherous Twins”, “Middle of the Ocean” and “3AM on Glenwood”. OZ is actually called Ozan Yildirim, is originally from Toggenburg and produces for rap greats such as Drake, Travis Scott or Shindy Beats.
