And once again a Swiss man in Thailand makes negative headlines. Just last week, Manfred K.* (45) kicked a young Thai doctor in the back because she was sitting on his steps.
Now the police had to go out again and arrest a Swiss man. The accusation: Beat L.* (60) allegedly beat a Thai woman (58) until she bled in the city of Trang. The injured woman was taken to hospital. Her nose was broken, one eye and her back bruised, as “The Nation” reports.
His wife has left him
The brutal attack took place in a department store on Tuesday. Beat L. was then arrested. The police called for an interpreter, but the Swiss would remain steadfastly silent.
According to immigration authorities, Beat L. has a long-term visa and has been living in a house in a village since his retirement. His Thai wife reportedly left him after several arguments.
First he scolded, then he hit
As the injured woman’s son reports, his mother was shopping when the Swiss man accidentally bumped into her. His mother then turned and told him in English to please be careful.
The Swiss then panicked. He swore and then hit. When he let her go, his mother allegedly threw a water bottle at Beat L. The Swiss then returned full of anger, put the Thai woman in a headlock and struck again. There should be multiple witnesses.
