Evaluation of the Blick predictions: an absolute hit and some annoying mistakes

1st place announced, 1st place achieved, difference 0. For the ZSC Lions, the Blick reporters were spot on with their predictions.

The same goes for predictions. You’re not always right. Weather forecasters and sports reporters in particular know this, but people still dare to look into the crystal ball.

The results from the five Blick reporters are mixed. After all, everyone correctly predicted the ZSC Lions as qualifying winners. And there were a few other hits.

(Almost) everyone correctly predicted that the play-offs and play-ins would take place without Ajoie, Kloten and the SCL Tigers. However, (almost) no one expected the SCRJ Lakers crash, or at least not to this extent. After all, the Rosenstädter finished third last season.

Servette was the Waterloo of forecasters

The hockey reporters were the furthest wrong with Servette. (Almost) everyone expected last year’s champion and qualifying winner to be in the top 6, but he dropped to 10th place. Meanwhile, Fribourg and Ambri were underestimated across the board.

And how did the five fare at SCB, which reached the play-offs directly for the first time since 2019? Hockey boss Dino Kessler hit the jackpot with fifth place. Stephan Roth and Marcel Allemann also tipped the Bernese team to the top 6. Grégory Beaud and Nicole Vandenbrouck, who, like Kessler, managed to give the most correct tips (5), underestimated Jussi Tapola and his team.
