Her ploy appears to have backfired: an influencer asks a famous sushi chain in Manchester for a free meal. In return, she would advertise the company on her accounts. However, the owner of the ‘Lucky Ramen’ has little appreciation for the young woman’s offer – and simply posts the news on his own Instagram account, as the ‘New York Post’ writes.
His opinion on the parasite scam is clear: “We’re glad you like our food. We would be even happier if you were paying customers.”
The influencer, whose name the store owner did not reveal, immediately had an appropriate response ready to defend himself. Outraged, she contacts “Lucky Ramen” again, but this time with a complaint. “Personally, I think you’re completely exaggerating. How dare you expose us like this?” she says indignantly in the restaurant’s Instagram posts. She continues: “In case you haven’t noticed, we are doing our best to help you and advertise for free.” Despite the delicious food, she will not be back to support the restaurant anytime soon, she concludes her long comment.
The owner of the restaurant reposts the message and sarcastically says, “Okay, fine, you caught us! We are really sorry that we tried to expose your scam yesterday.” He further writes that this post has changed everything, from now on the influencer can of course eat for free, she just has to write another post. Also don’t forget to leave a 5-star review on Google and Tripadvisor.
The restaurant’s followers also have little appreciation for the influencer and her games. One user writes: “You are fully booked. They don’t need your advertising. We all line up, and we like that.” Another user commented: “This is really embarrassing. How childish does she want to be?” The operator of the “Lucky Ramen” is not the first to receive such a request. Several other restaurants that had received the same message responded to his message.
