The Ukrainian army is said to have once again succeeded in attacking the Russian Black Sea Fleet in an attack with floating drones. On the night of March 5, the ship “Sergei Kotov” was sunk off the southern coast of Crimea. It concerns a patrol boat of the ship class “Corvette” that was only launched in 2021.
According to Ukrainian sources, it is the 25th Russian ship or boat to be sunk. Several floating drones of the “Magura V5” type were deployed, operated by the special unit “Group 13” of the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Service. The ship was damaged at the stern, on the right and on the left before it eventually sank, according to a message on platform X (formerly Twitter). The ship, which according to Ukraine cost almost 60 million francs, had been attacked once before, but was repaired and made seaworthy again.
