Man randomly shoots passing cars – kills two

A man fired indiscriminately at passing vehicles from his home south of Madrid on Wednesday, killing two people.

The fatalities are a police officer and a vehicle driver, just like them Nnews agency Europe Press referring to the local authorities. The gunman was shot dead by police after about two hours of repeatedly firing his shotgun at anyone approaching the house. The injured are the man’s 81-year-old father and two other police officers.

Traffic ban for citizens

The crime was preceded by a dispute between father and son. What it was about is not yet known. The gunman also fired at multiple police cars and an emergency intermediary. Several other cars in the street that passed the perpetrator’s house were also damaged by gunfire. The mayor of Villamayor in Ciudad Real province, Juan Antonio Callejas, called on citizens in the morning not to use the road under any circumstances, the newspaper “El País” reports.

The perpetrator’s father, who suffered head injuries, and the two police officers, one of whom was shot in the abdomen, were taken to hospital. They would be out of danger. (SDA)
