Attila Hildmann is hiding in this Turkish city

He fell deep. Attila Hildmann (41) was a successful vegan chef, published several cookbooks and had her own restaurant in Berlin. But then came Corona. During the pandemic, he developed into a conspiracy theorist and even became the figurehead of the corona skeptical movement.

The German justice accuses him of inciting hatred and publicly inciting to commit crimes. And eventually Hildmann fled to Turkey. He has since been wanted with an international arrest warrant.

A year ago, the German prosecutor’s office stated that Hildmann, who had fled to Turkey, had Turkish nationality in addition to German nationality. Therefore, it can be assumed that Turkey will not arrest or extradite him. But apparently he has no Turkish citizenship. Now he is threatened with extradition.

Self-proclaimed “Hildbuster” found him

It is not clear exactly where he is hiding. Even the German authorities. The magazine “Stern” claims to have found Hildmann in Turkey. As the magazine reported on Wednesday, the corona skeptic is in hiding in the city of Kartepe, about an hour and a half southeast of Istanbul.

According to “Stern”, Hildmann has been living in Kartepe since the summer of this year. For example, since the autumn of 2021 he previously lived in the coastal town of Gömec in the province of Balikesir.

According to its own statements, “Stern” has been investigating Hildmann’s whereabouts since May 2022. Sometimes the magazine accompanied a group of amateur detectives who had been following Hildmann for a long time. A member of the self-proclaimed “Hildbusters”, Alexander Brehm, confronted Hildmann in his hideout along with “Stern” reporters. Brehm immediately informed the German Consulate General in Istanbul.
