That was close! Plane cut in Belgrade on take-off Navalny’s body reportedly in a town in northern Siberia – reports of “bruises”

An Air Serbia Embraer 195 was seriously damaged during takeoff from Belgrade on Sunday. After about an hour the plane was able to land safely.

It should have been a pleasant flight to Düsseldorf, but nothing came of it. Air Serbia’s Embraer ERJ-195 had to return immediately after taking off from Belgrade.

The pilots decided not to use the full length of the runway. They actually had 3.5 kilometers available. For unknown reasons, a shorter route was chosen for the start and still had about 1.3 kilometers to go. They started the plane into a slight headwind, but it did not take off on time. The plane overshot the runway for approximately 500 meters until it finally left the ground.

The aircraft collided with several objects before reaching the required climb speed. Passengers reported that the plane was shaken immediately after takeoff. The pilots turned around and attempted to land, but this first attempt went awry, forcing them to take off. They then circled around for about an hour until they were finally able to land safely.

There are currently no reports of injuries. The aircraft had returned from maintenance in Athens a day earlier.
