Videos may show Navalny’s body being transported, but doubts remain record: The world’s largest vegan pastry was made in Bern on Saturday

According to official Russian information, three days have passed since Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny died in a prison camp. Time of death: Friday, 2:17 p.m., according to the Russian government. His relatives still have not seen the body. His mother Lyudmila Navalnaya is also still kept in the dark by the Russian authorities about the whereabouts of her deceased son.

The Kremlin-critical news site ‘Mediazona’ has now published surveillance videos taken near the ‘Polarwolf’ prison camp in Siberia – where Navalny was last imprisoned. They may be intended to show his body being transported to the morgue:

The surveillance footage, which was recorded on a road between Labytnangi and Salekhard on Friday night, shows a convoy consisting of two police cars, a van from the penal colony and a gray, unidentifiable limousine. It is speculated that Navalny’s body was transported in the van to the mortuary in Salekhard. However, Navalny’s mother and lawyer are still denied entry there.

Fellow prisoner expresses doubts about the time of death

An investigation by Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta Europa now raises doubts that Navalny only died on Friday. One prisoner reports that there were already strange events and oddities on Thursday evening. He concludes that Navalny died on Thursday evening. If that is true, the question arises as to why the convoy did not leave until about 24 hours later. Whether he transported the body at all. (lso)
