Australia puzzles over spicy speed camera photo

A couple was traveling on the Pacific Motorway towards Uper Coomera in Queensland, Australia, when they were caught by traffic cameras, News.com.au reports. A few days later, they were fined 1,078 Australian dollars, about 680 francs, for “risky behavior”. The accusation: Not only is the passenger not wearing her seat belt or not wearing it correctly, it also has a negative effect on the driver’s ability to concentrate.

Oral sex on the highway?

The photo shows a woman’s head between a man’s legs. Queensland officials declined to assess what exactly motivated the position. There is wild speculation on the internet.

“Someone falls asleep on your lap and you get the penalty for that?” asks a hobby researcher in the Facebook group “Phone and Seat Belt Detection Camera Locations Queensland”. However, the majority assume that this was oral sex. One user writes: “Imagine it wasn’t the man’s wife. But she is the first to open the letter at home. What a way to get caught.”

Despite the mystery surrounding the head’s position, the couple will have to pay the fine. The police attach particular importance to seat belt regulations and therefore strictly enforce them. And for good reason: 284 people died in road accidents in Queensland alone between July 2021 and July 2022, according to News.com.au. (Hi)
