Mexican-American actor Adan Canto (“X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “The Following”) has died at the age of 42.
The actor and father of two, who also pursued a career as a musician, succumbed to appendiceal cancer. reported the American industry newspaper “The Hollywood Reporter”, citing a spokesperson for Canto.
The production company Warner Bros. Television praised the actor, born in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Acuña, in a post on Instagram on Tuesday (local time) as a “great actor and dear friend”. It was an honor to have Canto become part of the corporate family. Canto starred in the Fox series “The Cleaning Lady” and appeared in other series such as “Designated Survivor” and “Narcos”.
Hollywood star Kiefer Sutherland (57), who appeared in front of the camera with Canto in ‘Designated Survivor’, wrote on Instagram:
