Politicians only have to deal with difficult questions? What a cheese! The eight-member Freiburg State Council provides the proof. The committee apparently tasted cheese together and decided which Freiburg cheese they would like to serve at their receptions in the future.
Because the canton of Friborg has a large number of producers, the committee could even count on the help of a committee of experts. For this purpose, the management committee had to submit a pre-selection of three Gruyères and three Vacherins.
Government advertising campaign
The members of the government liked the cheese from Benôit Deforel from Sâles the best. He received an award from the State Council for his Gruyère and the Freiburg Vacherin from Stéphane Schneuwly from Arconciel was also awarded, the Freiburg government announced on Wednesday. Both will now be able to mention for a year that their products have been selected by the State Council for its receptions.
