“We will dance again” – “We will dance again”: a survivor of the Hamas attack on Israel had these letters tattooed on her. The date is October 7, 2023.

Mia Schem

That day the Hamas terrorists came with paragliders and pick-up trucks. They attacked people in their homes, murdered anyone they happened to encounter on the street or beach, and carried out a particularly bloody massacre of festival goers.

The Supernova Massacre: Hundreds dead in the desert

The killers shot at refugees in the western Negev desert and shot into toilets. They killed people they had previously tied up with cable ties. They set cars on fire, burned the occupants alive and raped women.

364 visitors to the Supernova festival were killed and 40 were deported to Gaza. Among the hostages was 21-year-old Mia Schem. After the terrorist attack, Hamas presented her as the first Israeli hostage in a propaganda video.

“Then what would they have died for?”

At the end of November, the terrorist organization released Mia Schem in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. Now Schem showed off the tattoo she got after her release in a post on Instagram. She wrote that she will never forget October 7, the pain and fear. That includes “the friends who won’t come back and the ones we have yet to get. But we still have to win. We will still dance.”

Another survivor had put it the same way in the Arte documentary ‘Hamas Attack on the Festival – The Survivors of the Desert Rave’: “Of course we will dance again,” said Rachelie Nachmias. “If we didn’t do it, what would be the point? What would they have died for?”
