According to media reports, the Louvre in Paris was evacuated on Saturday due to a bomb threat. As the television channel BFMTV reported, citing police sources, the museum had received bomb threats. The museum announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the facility would be closed for safety reasons. On X, some visitors to the Louvre posted videos of people leaving the museum.

France is on the highest level of terror alert after Friday’s deadly knife attack by an Islamist at a school and plans to mobilize up to 7,000 soldiers across the country by Monday. An Islamist radicalized young man killed a teacher with a knife and seriously injured three other people. (sda/dpa)
