The management of the family company of musician, artist and entrepreneur Dieter Meier is now in the hands of the family: Eleonore Meier, co-founder and lead singer of the Swiss electro-pop duo Yello, has taken over the management of the company. Zurich-based family office Kate.
Meier, 39, manages his family’s financial investments and international holdings and portfolio companies in South America, Europe and Asia. “I am proud of what my parents have built. It is very important for me to manage the company’s wealth in their interests.” said Eleonore Meier in a press release from the Kate Family Office. Dieter Meier and his wife Monique, founders of lifestyle label En Soie, are primarily interested in agricultural raw materials, gastronomy, technology, fashion and nutrition.
Eleonore Meier says she now wants to ensure that the family business continues to thrive. “In my opinion, it is very important for the next generation to liberate themselves to some extent and break new ground in family businesses.”
The new boss has already entered his first new ways. Ojo de Agua restaurants in Zurich and Berlin have a new design. The Meier family also decided to turn a piece of land in southern Argentina into a nature reserve. “Sustainability is incredibly important to us; we want to give something back to nature,” Eleonore Meier told “Prestige Business”.

Meier studied at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. During the decade he spent in the Hollywood metropolis on the West Coast of the United States, he founded his own production company and together produced independent films such as “Between Us.” Meier currently lives in Zurich with her husband and two daughters.
