Police have found the bodies of three newborn babies in the basement of a single-family home in Poland’s northern Pomeranian Voivodeship, near the Baltic Sea.
As the Public Prosecution Service confirmed to the PAP news agency on Saturday, a 20-year-old woman was charged on suspicion of murder and a 54-year-old man was arrested. According to media reports, the victims were the mother of the dead children and the father of the woman.

On Friday evening, police found a dead newborn baby in the village of Czerniki, southwest of Gdansk. During a further search, police officers found a body in an advanced stage of decomposition on Saturday evening.
