It is the third defeat in a row that the DFB team suffered on Saturday evening with the 1:4 against Japan and has to look at its appendix. The last time this happened for the proud football nation was 38 years ago. The last victory was almost six months ago. Since the 2-0 win against Peru, there has been only one draw in five matches. German football is in ruins – and the perpetrator seems to have been found quickly.

After the new defeat despite the trick with Joshua Kimmich in the right back position in a four-man chain next to three central defenders, national coach Hansi Flick is again receiving heavy criticism. The press is merciless and some media even demand an end.

“Enough, Mr. Flick!
Flick has experimented this year with ruining everything. None of his ideas worked on the field. And he took away the players’ security and self-confidence. Everything is so confusing! So coincidental! So helpless! Only four wins from the last seventeen games and an embarrassing World Cup preliminary round result in Qatar – Hansi Flick (58) is the worst national coach of all time. Therefore, there is no alternative to an immediate divorce.”

«By a reversal and a change in mood. The doubts that Flick will be able to achieve a turnaround in just nine months until the home tournament could hardly be greater after this embarrassment. With such performances and a lack of development, the national coach also loses the last arguments.

“Mirror”

«Hardly any speed, no ideas, simple mistakes. Germany embarrassed itself in front of Japan. Hansi Flick’s ideas disappear and the team seems very restless. A future with this national coach seems difficult to imagine.”

“The time”

“The German match was tense and anxious. You didn’t see what plan the coach had given to the players. The German offensive game, when it took place, was based on chance. It can’t get any worse. At the beginning of the summer, the national team switched from worrying mode to not being worried, and now they even feel sorry.”

“T-Online”

September 9, 2023, Lower Saxony, Wolfsburg: Football: International matches, Germany - Japan, Volkswagen Arena. National coach Hansi Flick after the match. Germany loses 1:4. IMPORTANT NOTE: According to...
“German football is on the brink. Anyone who still doubted this was proven wrong against Japan. Things are not going well in the team, both front and back. No self-confidence, no self-esteem, no joy, complete lethargy. It’s shocking how restless part of the team seems. Now – no matter what – we need a spirit of optimism. If we stick with Flick, this will no longer exist. But at most the next shame.”

“ARD Sports Show”

“The national coach broke his promise in the worst possible way. Everything will be better in September, he said after the disappointing matches in June. But it got worse. There is currently nothing to indicate that the German national team will get back on track under Hansi Flick.”
