VW Group has already spent almost 30 billion francs on compensation and legal costs, according to the FRC. In the case filed by the German Federal Association of Consumer Associations in 2018, a settlement was reached in favor of 260,000 customers. Compensation ranged from 1,350 to 6,257 euros per person.
