Former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani is about to get kicked out of the bar. This was recommended by an investigative committee of the Washington chamber. The reason given is his assistance to Donald Trump in influencing the 2020 election.
“He claimed massive voter fraud but had no evidence to support it,” the UPI news agency said in a statement from the commission. He has forfeited his right to become a lawyer and is recommended to have his license revoked in the US capital.
Giuliani specifically violated Pennsylvania state attorney’s law when he spoke in court about voter fraud. The report would say that he made no apology for his behavior and even resisted the investigation.
His license to practice law is currently suspended. A New York court has temporarily suspended Giuliani’s license to practice law in 2021 on the recommendation of a disciplinary committee. It had discovered that he had attempted to mislead judges, legislators and the public by helping then-President Donald Trump fight legal challenges to the election result.
Giuliani can still challenge the new report before another panel, which will decide whether to accept the report and the committee’s recommendation. Should he fail to do so, he still has an appeals court at his disposal.
Giuliani was a prosecutor in New York in the 1980s until he was elected mayor of the American metropolis in 1993. Since 2018, he has served as legal adviser to Donald Trump. He repeatedly spread the claim, made by Trump and refuted by the courts, that the 2020 election was rigged
