Lately, more and more passengers are complaining about long queues at the airport and canceled flights. However, the complaints do not go in only one direction: the American aviation authority Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mocks the aggressive beating of passengers. This is evident from a Twitter video published on Monday. To see: violent fights and outbursts between the passengers.
“You Can’t Afford That”
Face slaps, hair pulled out and people tied up: it’s hard to believe the videos were shot on board an airplane. “Bad manners are just stupid!” writes the FAA. “You can be fined up to $37,000 and referred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for prosecution,” the FAA writes. “You can’t afford that.”
The video is accompanied by a parody of the famous video game “Dumb Ways to Die” (in German: Dumb Ways to Die). But the song was changed to “Dumb Ways to Fly” (translated: Dumb Ways to Fly).
More than 200 serious cases of violence
The reason for the video is probably the many violent violations in recent years: since 2021, the FAA has forwarded 250 of the most serious cases of violence to the FBI.
With the spot video, the authority wants to end the violence on the plane. Whether that will succeed remains to be seen. (lia)
