Robert Kennedy Jr. is a conspiracy theorist who wants to sit in the White House – much to the delight of conservatives.

Awareness is the most important thing for a politician. Particularly in the US, huge sums of money are spent to get ‘brand awareness’. Robert Kennedy Jr. can save yourself this money. The name Kennedy still has an almost magical ring to it in the US, and the son of Senator Robert Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1968, wants to take advantage of this to move into the White House.

Kennedy ran for the Democratic presidency. Together with the esotericist Marianne Williamson, he is the only challenger to Joe Biden so far. Williamson started in 2020 and was eliminated early in a hopeless situation. With a probability bordering on certainty, Kennedy will also not be able to beat Biden in the primaries. However, he can inflict serious injuries on him. But first things first:

The name Kennedy actually stands for progressive left-liberal politics, not just because of legendary President John F. Kennedy. His brother and Robert Jr. father, Bobby Kennedy, was considered a devoted civil rights fighter and was a fierce critic of the Vietnam War. He was assassinated in 1968, otherwise he would have had the best chance of becoming president of the US. Robert Jr.’s uncle, Ted Kennedy, was once a highly influential senator who greatly influenced American health care policy.

Initially, Robert Kennedy Jr. to live up to his family’s reputation. After law school, he became a dedicated environmental advocate. Today, however, the 69-year-old is the darling of the Conservatives and a regular on Fox News. There he likes to attack President Biden, whom he describes as a “warmonger”. He wants to “break the CIA into a thousand pieces and throw it to the wind.”

But above all, Kennedy is a slob and probably the best-known anti-vaccine opponent in the world. He argues that the combined vaccine against mumps, measles and rubella (MMR) is responsible for autism. This theory was published in 1998 in the highly respected medical journal The Lancet by a certain Andrew Wakefield. However, it was later revealed that he had falsified his data. The Lancet retracted the study and Wakefield lost his license to practice medicine.

No evidence for the MMR vaccine count

To date, there is no evidence linking the MMR vaccine and autism. Nevertheless, Kennedy repeats this statement over and over, even going so far as to compare vaccinations to those of Hitler and the Nazis. “This is a holocaust that we are inflicting on our country,” he said at a film premiere for an anti-vaccine film in 2015. Donald Trump is said to have toyed with Robert Kennedy Jr.’s idea. as vaccine czar when he took office to appoint cabinet.

Otherwise, Kennedy is deep in the Schwurbler Swamp. He does not blame the gun craze among Americans for the recurring massacres, but rather the antidepressant Prozac. “Before Prozac, there were hardly any events in our country,” he says. “And we’ve never seen people break into a school and shoot kids.”

Anyway, according to Kennedy, the pharmaceutical industry is more or less to blame for all the evil in this world. Of course, he also blames Bill Gates for the pandemic and sees Anthony Fauci himself as the devil. Robert Kennedy Jr. even doubts that Sirhan Sirhan was actually his father’s murderer. He is still in a maximum security prison in California. Kennedy’s side with Putin in the war in Ukraine completes the picture.

Kennedy’s name has great appeal in the conspiracy theorist scene. It is known that the QAnon sect is convinced that the son of John F. Kennedy did not die in a plane crash, but is still alive and will soon expose the atrocities of Hillary Clinton and the liberal elite.

Even among Democrats, the Kennedy name is still a trump card that stands out. And Robert Jr. uses it effectively. Although he lives in California, he announced his candidacy in Boston, Massachusetts, the actual home of the Kennedy clan. That worked. Initial polls show he has up to 20 percent support among Democrats. Almost every second American woman thinks he’s nice.

Still, Kennedy does not get a chance in a direct duel against Biden. However, he could harm the president, just as his uncle Ted Kennedy harmed Jimmy Carter in his failed reelection. If he enters the race even as an independent candidate, he could pose a real threat to the Democrats. In 2000, consumer lawyer Ralph Nader Al Gore botched his way into the White House. In 2016, Green Party candidate Jill Steiner gave Donald Trump the few votes needed to defeat Hillary Clinton.

Given that Biden remains at a low level due to his advanced age, that is not a good prospect.
