The attacked minors were about three years old, and several of them are in serious condition

At least seven people were injured, including six children, by a more stabs committed this Thursday in a park in the French city Annecya town of mountain tourism at the foot of the Alps, in the southeast of the country.

Police sources also confirmed the arrest of the main suspect, whose motives have not been released.

The attack happened around 9:45 a.m., in the park next to the lake. The attacked minors were about three years old and according to the sources cited by the paper le figaroat least three victims are in serious condition and their lives are at risk.

The suspect himself identified himself as an asylum seeker of Syrian origin. The French authorities do not know that he has a record.

Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin confirmed that “several people, including children” were injured in this attack. “The individual was arrested thanks to the very quick intervention of law enforcement,” he applauded on Twitter.
